Geylang Claypot Rice: Reviews & Ratings

Honestly not too sure why the ratings are so poor, this might be one of the best food court/fast casual options in Vegas! The Beef Claypot Rice is my go to every time I'm in town. The flavors really take me back to Singapore. Knowing how difficult Claypot rice is to make, the crunchy texture of the bowl is much appreciated, and the poached egg on top is a nice unique touch. As a note, I did try the Chicken Claypot Rice once, but it's nowhere as good as the Beef. See you again soon!

Famous foods food court changes, but Geyland Claypot rice is still there. Decent Claypot rice (price is a bit high, around$20)...but you're in Vegas. Nothing too special, but I think one of the more fulfilling options in Famous Foods (inside of Resorts World) Rating is closer to 3.5 stars. It would be 5 stars if they served to rice in a Claypot!

It's located in the Famous Food Street Eats food court area and probably one of the best food in that area. The claypot rice is flavorful with all the ingredients. The beef comes with a soft boiled egg which makes the rice nice and creamy when mixed in.

I ordered the chicken rice. I thought it was a ton of food, enough for 2 people IMO. It was flavorful with just the right amount of kick, though every so often, there would be an overly salty bite. I thought there was a pretty good amount of meat--more lap cheong (sausage) than chicken. I personally would have liked it to have more veggies. The Chinese greens were good, nice and tender. There were done nice bits of crispy rice in there. I had trouble ordering at the kiosks, the credit card reader wouldn't light up despite trying 3 stations. It worked fine at the kiosk they have right at the food stall. Took 20 minutes to get my food. Kind of annoying they charge $1 to go. I did dine in and took it up to my room. They still give disposable silverware with dine in.

Picked this casual spot given the great smells and was not disappointed. Went with the chicken claypot rice and it was delicious. This dish was full of flavor and so comforting. There was a nice crunch from crispy bits of rice with a deep umami flavor along with some sweetness and a little heat. The chicken was tender and the Lao Chung was very nice as it was slightly charred. Pork belly was fatty and salty though a little dried. Great flavor and value for Vegas eats.
